100,000th battery in Germany – Secretary Bareiß dedicates SOLARWATT battery

The 100,000th  installed solar power battery in Germany is the MyReserve from SOLARWATT. Thomas Bareiß, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and Carsten Körnig, Managing Director of the German Solar Industry Association, ceremoniously dedicated the storage system in Eichwalde near Berlin on Tuesday. The home battery complements the existing photovoltaic system of a single-family home.

"The figure of 100,000 shows how great people's response to green energy is," says SOLARWATT CEO Detlef Neuhaus. "Instead of waiting for the fossil fueled grid power to deplete, they simply generate their own electricity – clean and environmentally friendly."

The battery was installed by meinStrom.de, a brand of the SOLARWATT partner Sybac Solar Berlin GmbH. "We are clearly seeing the growing interest in batteries," says Dr.-Ing. Sigmar Kapitola, Managing Director of Sybac Solar. "There is no reason not to use the solar power from your own system yourself. It is not only more environmentally friendly than electricity from the outlet, but is also becoming more cost-effective. And with support programs like '1000 Batteries for Brandenburg', many customers are finding it even easier to make their decision."
